FerreTrip Icon

After a lot of work, here we finally have myself a brand-new icon to use for when I can use a 100x100 icon! (If I could just grab a good part of it...I don't think the part I have right now is very good. But otherwise it's pretty much too small! )

This was made through a long and kinda interesting process.

First, I drew it, colored it, and shaded it on openCanvas. Then, I moved over to PhotoShop and did highlights. After that, I got it so I selected the entire white background and got to work on the background. What I did to build the background wasn't right the first time and I fiddled a lot, but I put up that gradient, put a texture over it in another layer, did some gradual erasing to fade out the texture, used a brush brush (heh) to make that glow in another layer (to hide the artifacts around me because I'm lazy X3), then, after at least fourty-five minutes of looking at the filters, I decided to go with doing an Ocean Ripple on the gradient, behind the texture, and made the texture half as opaque.

Overall, I like what I did, and I'm gonna make a new ID with this soon, too. It was interesting and fun, and felt fresh--drawing a ferret as opposed to dragons.

And my tail's just fluffy, alright? XP Actually, this taught me how I'm going to draw ferret tails (not so flippin' huge, mostly; I just like big tails X3). Although...something tells me I might wanna add a few fur spikes on it (one hair spike at a time instead of a couple in sparse clumps, because of the way the tail's fur works). But this way, when it's bottlebrush, you'll be able to tell. X3
