NERD TIME!! X3;
This here's Gelwyr Ironsnow, a dragonborn character I made at Nanocon '10. Since I was using him for modules, I was forced to apply to some stricter rules than normal for his stats, which I'm thoroughly unhappy about. HE'S ONLY GOT A 13 IN STRENGTH, FOR PETE'S SAKE!! A DRAGONBORN!! Gah...Well, I at least got to have a whopping 20 Charisma, which ain't too shabby for a first-level character.
I still wish I coulda rolled up my own stats the old-fashioned way, though...
Okay, stats stuff.
Level: 1
Class: Bard
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Appearance: Rust scales, ice-blue eyes
Weight: 314 (if that sounds too much/little, tell me)
Alignment: Good (not to be a whiny nerd, but what was wrong with the Lawful/Neutral/Chaotic system?)
Deity: Bahamut (Forgotten Realms) (That's what it says on my printed-off sheet...)
RPGA Number: ...Wait, I shouldn't tell you that.
Abilities:
STAT - SCORE - ABIL MOD
STR - 13 - 1
CON - 12 - 1
DEX - 10 - 0
INT - 11 - 0
WIS - 10 - 0
CHA - 20 - 5
Max HP: 24
Weapon: Longsword (forgot to draw that on his character! Whoops!)
Not gonna go on. It's kinda stupid. And time-consuming.
Anyway, as stated above, his scales are SUPPOSED to be rust-colored. I thought that Pumpkin Orange (Prisma) looked alright, and went ahead and did that. It didn't work that well. Dulled it down with 50% French Grey, or tried to. It didn't come out well. Also, his frills/fins and tailspade are supposed to be dark red, and his underside a darker rust. The latter came out better than the scales...
As for his outfit, interesting story. See, a while back, I tried joining a campaign (3.5 ed) as a half-elf bard whose garb and character were based on Morris dancing. As such, he wore a lot of white and bright colors. He ended up getting thrown together with a friend's thief character, who did NOT like his bright colors, understandably. So, for this time, I thought, "You know, bright colors on a bard are just asking for him to get killed," so I dulled 'em down a bit and ended up with the dark blue-dark purple-black scheme. (The pants are green because I didn't want to do gray. ) How I came up with those rockin' sleeves I don't quite know. Also, that's supposed to be a three-cornered hat...they're hard to draw for me, surprisingly...
He's wearing boot-things because--come on, who's stupid enough to really think they can be a proper good adventurer in bare feet/footpaws, tough soles or not? I dunno them personally, but I bet the hobbits from LotR winced every time they stepped on a piece of gravel...
Character (C) 2010 me.
Dragonborn (C) ???? D&D.

Not enough dragonborn love in my opinion, heh.
Looks good, an interesting character concept, always like trying something new, and you have a good look for him, very piratey and I think it fits the Forgotten Realms.
