This is a piece of art I made to count down the days to the American release of BIT.TRIP RUNNER for WiiWare. The seventh of the nine, I decided to make it a picture instead of do "instrument karaoke" like I did for DESCENT through CONTROL (numbers 2-6). The reason was the words that you see I crossed here. I'm a sucker for the written word, for some reason; I love typography music videos, for instance, and my best artistic skill is writing fiction. Go figure.

But the plan was I was gonna put all the words that appear in the background of each stage of VOID into the picture and arrange them in a way that I could form a hidden (but I'd show it) message. In this case, it's "I". See the other two (EGO then SUPER-EGO) to get the whole thing.

And the reason this looks so sucky is because I had to use the old family computer, Isaiah, who only had a PhotoShop clone on him that isn't too bad, but wasn't great. I had to figure out ways to do things, it acted funky sometimes, and I noticed it couldn't really do a straight line eraser. (I just now realize that I coulda drawn the lines in one layer straight, selected them, gone to the layer below or whatever, then erase.) (Ironically, later I decided to darken them instead of make them lighter. So I coulda drawn straight lines, anyway. *shrug* I was in a hurry.)

Anyway, yeah, here it is.
