Wildale Glades   Part Four: Monstrous Maurice

    Chapter 0: A Quick Intro


    You live in a world where the only sentient beings are humans. An age of information and technology. A world that, thanks to our infinite stupidity, is quickly becoming a wasteland, filled with death, corruption, and pollution. Perhaps, if we lived on level and peace with the animals whose habitats we're destroying, live and understand them, we'd all stop the destruction of Earth and everything on it. Unfortunately, at the time of my writing this, this has yet to happen. The only way, by now, that we can live this dream to the fullest, understanding them, is if animals go anthro; that is, walk/talk/etc. like us, but still remain animalistic in look and much behavior.
    In this world, a world called Yuakoi(yoo-AH-koy), however, the human population is only a little less than the world's population. Animals, in full anthro, abound, living lives as farmers, mercenaries, teachers, etcetera. In one land, Wildale(WHY-uh-dale), life is special. Why, you ask? Well, it is the only land that can truly own the four classic words:
    There be dragons here.
    Dragons co-exist with humans and other animals(remember, we're considered animals; we aren't plants, that's for sure!). Mainly, in peace, but the most violent towards them are us foolish humans. In fact, it is mostly because of the humans in Wildale that the normal and giant dragons live in huge caverns called dens. Minor dragons (anthro dragons that are more towards the dragon side than the human side when talking about general build, meaning that they are larger and more muscular than normal anthros) live apart from the dens, among other anthros, although they prefer to stick in the same habitat as their race.
    Now, to get to the point of this intro. Wildale is in danger, as is the rest of Yuakoi, unless someone does something. A human man named Maurice is after it, and if he isn't stopped, very well may get it. There is a small band of travelers, including a dragon, a ferret, a human, a panther, a rabbit, and a badger, who are going to do something about him. They can use special talents, be they inborn abilities, learned techniques, or latent skills that must be unlocked by learning about them, all of these pertaining to the Alignment System.
    What is that? Please, look back on the explanation Jessie and Evan gave while in the frost dragons' den back in the first part of this story that I have discovered as newly as if it were a book whose pages fill with writing as I read them. Now, for now, please, read this story, and please, enjoy.
